Dinosaurs, Green herrings & cognitive dissonance
The Bega Valley Shire Council yesterday provided the public a great showing of their wilful ignorance by fobbing off the disturbing revelation that fluoridation at lower levels than are considered acceptable dosage rates here in Australia have been found to pose an unreasonable risk to reduce IQs in children.
The Court finds there is an unreasonable risk of such injury, a risk sufficient to require the EPA to engage with a regulatory response... "One thing the EPA cannot do, however, in the face of this Court’s finding, is to ignore that risk.”
This is all based on a US Federal Court case that ran for seven years and involved over 1000 studies. The EPA during that time were unable to disprove the evidence and therefore the decision was made against them.
The Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F Kennedy Jnr has made it clear he wants it out of all US water supplies... Utah & Florida are moving swiftly to get it out and other states are following.
Florida’s Surgeon General Dr Joseph Ladapo said after researching fluoridation and the evidence provided to the court “ I was stupefied by the strength of evidence that demonstrated clear neurotoxic effects associated with fluoridation.. the scientific evidence is unequivocal, the dose-response relationship which is not contested by anyone is also present at lower levels ... it is insane to support this with the information we have now”
Less than 5% of the world is now fluoridated and if the US removes it entirely it will be left to good old dumbed down Aussies, NZ & Canada to maintain the poisoning. Whilst the rest of the world have woken up.. we’ll kick the can further down the road..
The Council had a motion on the table to resolve upon.
1. That Council write to the NSW Secretary for Health, Susan Pearce and request the following information.
a. An updated position of the State Government with regards to the safety and long-term health effects of mass Fluoridation in water supplies.
b. That the State Government provide facts based evidence that can debunk the finding of the US courts, specifically the case of Food and Water Watch et al. v. United States Environmental Protection Agency et al. 17-cv-02162-EMC
c. Given the new information related to the potential dangers of fluoride, at what level of fluoridation (mg per litre) in water supplies does the NSW Government guarantee is completely safe from any negative effects to consumers especially on children and pregnant women.
The motion was put up by Clr David Porter & seconded by Deputy Mayor Mitchell Nadin and supported also by Clr Peggy Noble. Quite a reasonable and responsible request one would think given the responsibility of potentially poisoning people.
There were 3 addresses given by myself, Dr Maria Claudianos and retired epidemiologist Rob Slazenger, the addresses were very comprehensive, all from a different perspective.. Couldn’t have been better I don’t believe.

The Councillors were given all the information required to substantiate the need for action to be taken to investigate these damning findings and evidence of the likelihood of neurological harm being caused by the councils water supplies of which the council voted to fluoridate.
Despite the fact most of the councillors who voted yesterday were not a party to the initial decision they have all voided themselves of plausible deniability and in fact provided tacit consent to harming their consumers. So by exposing themselves as Dinosaurs, throwing up Green herrings and revealing severe cognitive dissonance they have opened the door for liability, through lack of duty of care and blind ignorance..
It is understandable the councillors probably think/wish it is a responsibility of the state government, but the state government being clear enthusiasts of fluoridation do give the responsibility to the council to undertake consultation and ultimately approve/disapprove, run, manage and maintain and operate the systems.
So ultimately council is responsible and when evidence such as what has come to the fore is ignored.. Live and Die by it.
The councillors do get heavily loaded up with responsibility and there is a lot going on and surely they can make errors in judgement and this is when real leadership and responsibility rises to the top...those who are willing to reconsider their chosen position and be willing to rectify the error of judgement are smart and genuine to their position.
Lets hope an educated rethink occurs and sanity prevails for the betterment of all.
And we must acknowledge the excellent speeches and responses made by Clrs Nadin & Porter to some of the left of field statements from those who voted and spoke against the motion, being Green Clr Haggar, Labor Clr O’Neil and Labor Clr Daly who all thought it was a red herring and a waste of time. The old school brigade of Tony Allen & Mayor Fitzpatrick didn’t engage but just voted it down with newby Clair Muduliar.
Clr Peggy Noble showed her wisdom wisely supported it.
All power to those councillors who saw sense in it for showing their duty of care and concern to the people.

We have Gerard Rennick unfortunately not running a candidate in our electorates of Eden Monaro or Gilmore. I don’t know about Trumpets of Patriots, but I do know One Nation are looking for candidates if anyone thinks they may want to stand, also the Heart Party being Michael O’Neil’s revised IMOP (Informed Medical Options Party), they have done an alliance with Gerard Rennicks People First party and Craig Kelly’s libertarians, Here is a link to their press release about the Australia First Alliance.
